Auto Shanghai 2015 (The 16th International Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition) will be held at Shanghai’s biggest exhibition venue.

Covering over 530,000 square meters, the show will attract nearly 2,000 auto companies from 18 countries and regions.

Domestic and foreign carmakers will display 1,343 car models, 209 more than last year’s event held in Beijing.

The vehicles include 109 making their global debut and 47 concept models. There will be 103 new-energy cars, up 24 from 2014, at this year’s show to be held from April 20 to 29.

No models will appear alongside automobiles at this year’s show, and for the first time children are banned from entry to the show for “safety reasons.”
